An Inspirational Story for June 2020 New Moon in Cancer
There was a Hindu who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.
A man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him.
But the Hindu said: „It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?“
A Body Posture for June 2020 New Moon in Cancer
The name – Bhujangasana – comes from the Sanskrit words bhujanga meaning snake and asana, meaning posture. The best time to practice Bhujangasana or the cobra posture is first thing in the morning, right after you get up, before breakfast.
Gheranda Samhitts, one of the classic texts of hatha yoga, offer this description:
„Let the lower part of the body from the toes up to the navel touch the ground. Place the palms on the ground and raise the head (the upper part of the body) like a cobra“. (Gheranda Samhitts, II, 42-43).

Lie on the stomach with the head turned to one side and the arms alongside the body with palms facing upward.
Turn the head and place the chin on the floor. Inhale then exhale slowly through the nostrils and swing the arms around until the hands are placed just below the chin with the palms down and the fingertips of each hand almost touching and the elbows on the floor.
Inhale slowly through the nostrils, press down on the hands and lift the torso from the waist up off the floor, arching the spine backwards and straightening the arms. Keep the hips on the floor.
Tilt the head as far back as possible and hold the posture for the duration of the inhaled breath.
Exhale and reverse the process to return to position 1.
A Meditation for June 2020 New Moon in Cancer

1st Step: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself: “Just like me, this person is seeking some happiness for his/her life.”
2nd Step: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself: “Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his/her life.”
3rd Step: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself: “Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and despair.”
4th Step: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself: “Just like me, this person is seeking to fulfill his/her needs.”
5th Step: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself: “Just like me, this person is learning about life.”
