There are 12 Full Moons in 2017 – one in each month of the year. So, we don’t have a Blue Moon (an extra moon in a month, when a year which normally has 12 moons has 13 instead, like happened on July 2nd and July 21st 2015). There are also two special full moons, in 2017: on 11th February, there is a penumbral lunar eclipse and on 8 August there is a partial lunar eclipse.
